India to export 654MW of power to Nepal daily till Dec 31

NEW DELHI: Govt has agreed to export 654MW of electrical energy every day to flood-ravaged Nepal for 18 hours a day until Dec 31. The ministry of energy Monday stated the current floods precipitated important injury to hydropower infrastructure in Nepal, decreasing its home energy era capability and creating a further requirement for electrical energy, experiences Atul Mathur.Starting Sunday, India began exporting as much as 600MW electrical energy between midnight and 6pm to Nepal Electrical energy Authority by the Muzaffarpur-Dhalkebar 400 kV DC line and as much as 54MW by the Tanakpur-Mahendranagar 132 kV SC line.
