NEW DELHI: BJP has planned a trip of bikers between PM Narendra Modi’s birthplace Vadnagar in Gujarat and his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh as part of its month-long events to celebrate his birthday on September 17, an exercise which will jibe with the party’s political campaign in the two states where assembly polls are due next year. With BJP looking to deepen its connect with the youth, Modi is expected to address students at Shri Ram College of Commerce to commemorate the institute’s centenary celebrations on Sep 5.While BJP has been organising events every year to mark the leader’s birthday, it has scaled up the exercise this time as Modi will complete 25 years as head of govt, including as CM of Gujarat, on Oct 7.
