The Kia Sorento has been launched in India at Rs 27.99 lakh, with costs topping off at Rs 40.19 lakh (ex-showroom). It joins the premium three-row SUV section, and is Kia’s first hybrid automobile for the Indian market. The Sorento can also be the primary turbo-petrol sturdy hybrid to be launched in India, combining a 180hp 1.6-litre direct-injection engine with a 65hp electrical motor, funneling energy to the wheels through a 6-speed torque converter automated gearbox. A 193hp 2.2-litre diesel engine can also be on provide, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automated solely.
