The Delhi government has introduced that each one schools—authorities, government-aided and personal—will stay closed on September 11 in view of the BRICS Summit. In an order issued on Saturday, the Directorate of Training stated all colleges and workplaces beneath its jurisdiction will observe a vacation in compliance with an earlier directive issued by the Normal Administration Division of the Delhi authorities.
“All workplaces and colleges beneath the directorate of training (together with authorities aided and unaided recognised non-public colleges) shall observe vacation on September 11, 2026,” the order dated September 5 signed by further route of training Vikas Kalia acknowledged.

The 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam from September 11 to 13. The summit is predicted to convey collectively leaders from round 30 BRICS member and associate nations, together with heads of worldwide organisations and enterprise representatives. HT had earlier reported that Central, PSU and Delhi authorities workplaces will stay closed on September 11, whereas the next two days fall on the weekend.

To handle site visitors and redirect automobiles at these diversion factors, the Delhi Police has issued a listing of alternate routes. At Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk, automobiles heading in direction of East and South Delhi will probably be diverted through BSZ Marg and IP Marg. These travelling in direction of Central, North and West Delhi will probably be diverted through BSZ Marg and Delhi Gate. For New Delhi and Connaught Place, the designated diversion route is through Sikandra Highway. Mathura Highway and Tilak Marg will probably be prohibited routes at this level.
