The Tayron R Line is based on the global Tiguan and will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a 4WD system as standard. This positions it as a premium performance-orientated family SUV.
In my opinion, this model will target buyers looking for a European alternative to the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq. The challenge for Volkswagen will be pricing and brand perception, as it needs to justify the premium tag with strong features and after-sales support.
2. MG Majestor
MG has revealed the Majestor, and its prices will be announced next month, with deliveries beginning in April. It is essentially a more premium version of the Gloster and aims to offer enhanced luxury and technology.
The SUV continues with the familiar twin-turbo diesel engine and offers both 2WD and 4WD options. It features a redesigned exterior and a cabin packed with premium equipment, including Level 2 ADAS.

The Nissan Gravite is set to launch on February 17, 2026. It is based on the same architecture as the Renault Triber but will feature distinct styling.
The Gravite will likely be offered with the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and turbo petrol engines. High localisation is expected, which should help Nissan price it competitively.
In my view, this model will appeal to budget-conscious buyers who need a practical 7-seater. However, Nissan must ensure better interior quality and improved brand visibility to stand out from the Triber, since both share similar foundations.
4. Renault Duster-Based 7-Seater
Renault is bringing back the Duster in its new-generation avatar, with prices expected to be announced next month and deliveries starting in April 2026. A hybrid version is also planned for later this year.
The new Duster will eventually spawn a three-row SUV, possibly inspired by the Boreal sold internationally. It will be heavily localised for India.
