The Goa Police have arrested the motive force of a Mercedes automobile who allegedly, inebriated, knocked over a two-wheeler rider, killing him and injuring the pillion rider, earlier than dragging the bike for greater than two kilometres and finally being delivered to a halt.

The motive force of the Mercedes, Vidhyadhar Prabhu alias Vipul, 32, was arrested at 11 pm on Friday by the Vasco Police for the dying of Ashok Kumar Chauhan, whom he allegedly knocked over at round 2 pm on Friday.

Police have booked Prabhu beneath Sections 281 (rash driving), 105 (culpable murder) and 125 (endangering human life) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.

The pillion rider, Sonu Kumar, 24, is present process remedy.
