NEW DELHI: The Worldwide Olympic Committee (IOC) has not accepted any leisure past the 70-year age ceiling for candidates contesting or looking for nominations in Indian Olympic Affiliation (IOA) elections.IOA’s present Article 14.3 permits members above 70 to contest if permitted by worldwide charters and statutes.The amended provision, adopted right here at Tuesday’s Particular Basic Physique Assembly (SGBM), removes that exception and fixes 70 because the ceiling for office-bearers and government council (EC) members.“The IOC has stated the age cap is 70 years.
