The India Meteorological Division (IMD) has dismissed as “rumours” the claims of an impending cyclone over Odisha, urging folks to not panic over hypothesis circulating on social media.
Whereas no cyclonic storm has been forecast, a growing low-pressure system is more likely to carry heavy rainfall to a number of districts of the state.
Low-pressure space growing
A cyclonic circulation has shaped over northern Thailand and is anticipated to maneuver into the North Andaman Sea by the night of September 18.
